“War on the Floor” Awarded Silver Telly for
Online Video – Reality Series

Washington, D.C. – The Broadcast Education Association is proud to announce that its involvement in this past April’s 2010 NAB Show has been recognized with the Telly Award for “War on the Floor.”

The “War on the Floor” video series was awarded a Silver Telly for Online Video – Reality Series. The Telly Awards honor the very best local, regional, and cable television commercials and programs, as well as the finest video and film productions, and work created for the Web.

“War on the Floor” was an online series that took place over the course of the 2010 NAB Show.  Over the course of four days at the NAB Show, two teams – of two students – were tasked with completing a scavenger hunt set throughout the entire convention – from conference programming to NAB’s exhibit floor – and in the process were asked to create unique content of their own with the tools and tricks they learned along the way.  A team of NAB producers chronicled their experience and served as guides during the “race.”  A final 60-second piece was judged and announced at a session during BEA’s annual convention in Las Vegas.

Special thanks and congratulations go to the first place winners Hopeann Hintz and Alivia Johnson from Ball State University and second place winners Grant Hall and Jack Woodward from Baylor University for their fine skills, dedication and excitement about the project.  Congratulations also to NAB’s Mike Khatcheressian and Aaron Cullers who expertly created, produced and executed the winning series.
