BEA will award grants ranging from $1,000 to $4,000 to support research projects on topics that align with the overall mission of BEA.  Grants must fund traditional academic research related to broadcasting, electronic media, or mass communication.

Applications are accepted starting in September each year.

Eligibility

• Applicants must maintain current BEA individual, student, or associate membership when applying for and receiving funds.
• For multiple-authored applications, at least one author must be a current BEA member.

February 28: Grant recipients announced

April 2026: Grant recipients recognized during the BEA2026 Opening Awards Ceremony
