BEA will award grants ranging from $1,000 to $4,000 to support research projects on topics that align with the overall mission of BEA.  Grants must fund traditional academic research related to broadcasting, electronic media, or mass communication.

Applications are accepted starting in September each year.

Eligibility

• Nominees must be a current BEA individual, institutional or associate member.
• Nominees must have completed the application.

Timeline

September 1, 2024: Application opens

January 15, 2025: Applications close

February 28, 2025: Grant recipients announced

April 5, 2025: Grant recipients recognized during the BEA2025 Opening Awards Ceremony

April 5-8, 2025: BEA2025 annual convention
