Opportunities for Showcasing Talent and Gaining Recognition

BEA offers students numerous opportunities to showcase their creative and academic work through its annual Festival of Media Arts. This highly respected competition highlights the best in student-produced content across categories like audio, video, documentary, and interactive multimedia. Winning or placing in the festival not only adds prestige to a student’s portfolio but also helps open doors to internships and job opportunities in media and communication industries.

Professional Development and Career Preparation

BEA student members benefit from a wide range of career development resources. The association regularly hosts webinars, panel discussions, and workshops focused on current media trends, job readiness, and portfolio building. BEA also connects students with potential mentors and employers through its events and online community. Whether preparing for graduate school or entering the job market, student members leave BEA more informed, connected, and confident about their professional futures.

Student Members must have an active interest in electronic media or other multimedia enterprises related to research and creative endeavors. Full-time undergraduate students only enrolled at a BEA Member Institution can become a Student Member at no cost.
