Trust in Generative AI: Foundations, Drivers, and Implications
Submission Deadline: November 15, 2025
Led by Prof. Jörg Matthes, University of Vienna, Prof. Terry Flew, University of Sydney, and Prof. Jingyuan Shi, Hong Kong Baptist University, this issue examines the paradox of trust in generative AI systems. We welcome theoretical and empirical contributions analyzing trust calibration mechanisms, cross-cultural variations in AI acceptance, algorithmic transparency demands, and the reconfiguration of media production hierarchies in the ChatGPT era. Studies may focus on synthetic media ethics, user-AI co-creation dynamics, or institutional strategies for trust-building.

AI, Misinformation, and the Future of Algorithmic Fact-Checking
Submission Deadline: December 30, 2025
Co-edited by Prof. Don Shin, Texas Tech University, this issue explores AI-driven solutions and challenges in combating misinformation. We seek interdisciplinary research on algorithmic bias in fact-checking systems, AI-powered disinformation detection, human-AI collaboration in verification workflows, and ethical frameworks for deploying AI in truth-seeking ecosystems.
