Each year, Taylor & Francis provides an overview of BEA journal performance using a range of usage metrics. The 2025 report shows total full-text article views across all formats and indicates increased downloads for both Journal of Broadcasting & Electronic Media (JOBEM) and the Journal of Radio & Audio Media (JRAM). We thank our authors and readers for their continued engagement, and a special thanks to our journal editors for their ongoing work and oversight.
“While multiple factors may contribute to increased downloads, this growth reflects increased exposure and interest, which can translate into more citations and greater impact,” said JOBEM editor Shuhua Zhou, City University of Hong Kong. “We are hopeful to see this positive trend continue.”
“The medium of podcasting is booming in both mainstream and academic circles. As a leading journal in the field, the Journal of Radio & Audio Media is clearly benefiting from this surge,” remarked JRAM editor Noah Arceneaux, San Diego State University. “We expect this trend to persist, and our Spring 2026 symposium on podcasting and politics keeps us at the cutting edge of scholarship about this evolving form of media.”
BEA membership includes exclusive access to these top leading peer-reviewed journals, as well as the Journal of Media Education (JoME), a quarterly online journal focused on media pedagogy, industry insights, and innovative scholarship.
