Call for Editor, 70th Anniversary Special Collection
BEA’s Best: Celebrating 70 Years through BEA Publications

The Broadcast Education Association (BEA) Publications Committee seeks nominations (self and otherwise) for a guest editor to compile an online collection of 20-25 of our most important, interesting, and/or influential articles over the past 70 years.
We are open to innovative approaches. The guest editor will work in cooperation with BEA Board of Directors President Glenda Balas, Executive Director Heather Birks, and Taylor & Francis to produce an electronic volume in celebration of our 70th anniversary.
To be considered, please forward a vita and 1-2 page description of how you would approach curating this collection celebrating Feedback, Journal of Media Education (JoME), Journal of Broadcasting & Electronic Media (JoBEM), and Journal of Radio and Audio Media (JRAM).
Please address the following in your description:
- What sort of editorial experience do you have?
- What sort of criteria would you use to identify and select pieces for this special issue?
- What would you add as an editor to contextualize and curate the pieces?
- How would the collection’s content point to the future of research in our field?
- Do you plan to invite other BEA members to assist with this project, and if so, how would you incorporate their contributions?
