World Journalism Education Congress-5 will be held at Dauphine Université Paris – July 9-12, 2019. With the support of 32 journalism education organizations worldwide, the Congress is designed to provide a discussion forum on common issues and interests and a foundation for supporting the continuing development of journalism and journalism education around the globe. WJEC is the biggest world gathering of journalism educators, organized every three years – following successful events in Singapore (2007), Grahamstown, South Africa (2010), Mechelen, Belgium (2013) and Auckland, New Zealand (2016).
WJEC-5 Ignite
At WJEC-5 we’re seeking the most innovative teaching ideas….so we present “WJEC-5 Ignite” – where you can share your best classroom project/exercise/ideas. Following the traditional “ignite” format, presenters get 5 minutes and 20 slides to share their passionate teaching idea. The ten best “ignite” ideas will be selected to make their presentations “live” at WJEC-5. Click here to view past Ignite presentations.

Slide format can be either Mac based or PC using Prezi, Keynote or Powerpoint, BUT the slides MUST be emailed in advance and are strictly limited to 5 minutes.
