Starting with the 2024 Festival of Media Arts, full-time academic media staff and adjunct faculty can submit entries. The entrant must have the following qualifications:
- Must be a current BEA Academic Professional/Staff member; i.e. student radio or TV station manager; departmental media producer utilizing student crews, instructional content creator, etc.
- Must be employed full-time by an institution of higher education.
- The primary creator of the submission or, in the case of a faculty/professional collaboration, must be responsible for 60% of the creative control of the submission.
How to compete: Enter under the appropriate Faculty Festival Competition (Documentary, Sports, etc.) and check the box to designate your academic employment status.
