The Harwood Dissertation selection committee is comprised of BEA’s Research Committee.  The chair of the Research Committee leads the selection process.  

The Research Committee will review the nomination packages and based on the selection criteria, will select the recipient of the award.

The chair of the committee will notify the Harwood Dissertation recipient and all individuals who submitted nominations packages by February 15.

Selection Criteria

• Significance of the topic
• Enhancement of the review committee’s knowledge and understanding of communication/electronic media
• Execution and methodological soundness
• Clarity of presentation
