Who is recognized as a D&I Awards recipient?

The research and creative awards recipients are those who produce research and creative work that addresses issues of diversity and inclusion in areas of race, ethnicity, gender, disability, country of origin, political affiliation, veteran status, field of research, socioeconomic status, religion, age, marital status, sexual orientation, or gender identity.

How are the winners recognized?

  • Winners are recognized at a BEA awards ceremony held during BEA’s annual convention held in Las Vegas, NV each April.
  • A plaque to recognize the recipient for their service and distinction.
  • A press release and promotion through BEA’s website and social media.
Is there a formal nomination process?

No. There is not a formal nomination or application process for the Diversity & Inclusion Awards. When you submit research to one of the interest division convention paper competitions, or creative work to the Festival of Media Arts, you must click on the box that puts your work up for consideration.
