Innovation in Teaching Award (ITA)
Application Process
Application should include:
- Cover letter from the nominator detailing:
- What makes the individual’s teaching innovative and creative.
- Tools, technology and approaches, etc.
- Tangible outcomes that showcase the impact of the innovative teaching.
- Beneficiaries of the innovative teaching.
- Students, colleagues, campus-at-large, community, etc.
- What makes the individual’s teaching innovative and creative.
- Include three (3) letters of support and/or “artifacts” that highlight their innovative teaching skills. . Examples should speak to a broader pattern or innovativeness in the classroom. But artifacts alone should not be the central focus of the application. Nomination should address innovative achievements over the first decade.
- Ideally at least one from a student
- Share 2-4 innovative class assignments from the past two years.
- Share any evidence of the impact of the innovativeness of the teaching methods. (e.g. awards, analytics, sales, grants, etc.)
