Application Criteria
- Social and cultural significance of the project
- Completeness and thoroughness of grant proposal
- Quality of proposal components: clarity, originality, project planning, innovative approach
- Likelihood of achieving results in a two-year time frame
- Demonstrated need for funding
- Applicants must maintain current BEA membership while completing the project
- At least one graduate student grant is encouraged annually.
- Recipients are expected to showcase their creative work at the BEA Annual Convention in Las Vegas within two years after receiving the grant.
