BEA JOURNALS November 2017 to March 2018<\/strong>\u00a0– 110 manuscripts were submitted and three (3) were accepted for a 2.7% acceptance rate.\u00a0\u00a0One (1) manuscript was submitted from Germany and two (2) manuscripts came from the U.S.<\/p>\n April 2017 to October 2017<\/strong> – 89 manuscripts with submitted during this time period and ten (10) were accepted for a 11.2% acceptance rate.<\/p>\n November 2016 to March 2017<\/strong> – 107 manuscripts were submitted and 18 were accepted for a 16.8% acceptance rate.<\/p>\n April 2016 to October 2016<\/strong> –\u00a0Issue 60 (3)\u00a0Issue 60 (4) – Editor Zizi Papacharissi received 154 manuscripts and accepted: 25 for a 16.2% acceptance rate.<\/p>\n October 2015 to March 2016<\/strong> – JOBEM received a total of 173 manuscripts during this period and accepted 19, for an 11% acceptance rate.<\/p>\n April 2015 to September 2015<\/strong>\u00a0– A total of 10 articles and 2 book reviews were accepted with an 18% acceptance rate.<\/p>\n November 2014 to March 2015<\/strong> – 106 manuscripts were received for a 19.8% acceptance rate.<\/p>\n November 2013 to March 2014<\/strong> – 116 manuscripts were received – twelve (12) were accepted during this period, representing an acceptance rate 10.34%.<\/p>\n March 2013 to November 2013<\/strong> – JOBEM received 166 manuscripts, 21 were accepted representing a 12% acceptance rate.\u00a0 More information on JOBEM\u2026<\/a><\/p>\n Journal of Radio & Audio Media (JRAM) For the period of April 2017 through October 2017<\/strong>, 18 manuscripts were received and seven (7) were accepted for a 38.9% acceptance rate.<\/p>\n The November 2016 issue 23(2)<\/strong> issue is a culmination of a year-long effort with the Radio Preservation\u00a0Task Force Conference at the Library of Congress, resulting in a tremendous volume of\u00a0scholarship across North America from 19 radio scholars, communications specialists\u00a0and archivists producing 15 articles. Special thanks to Hubbard Broadcasting, Library of\u00a0Congress, Drs. BEA2014 Convention \u2013 Paper & Research Submissions
<\/strong>BEA2014 had an overall acceptance rate of 43% for interest division paper submissions<\/a>.\u00a0 133 papers were submitted to 15 interest divisions with a total of 57 accepted to panel sessions and Scholar-to Scholar poster sessions.\u00a0 Specifically, 24% acceptance rate to panel research\/paper sessions and 19% to Scholar-to-Scholar poster sessions. BEA\u2019s Research-in-Progress<\/a> received 40 submissions this year and 25 were accepted for a 63% acceptance rate.
Festival of Media Arts
<\/strong>Thirty-three (33) faculty entries were accepted as award winners to the 2014 Festival of Media Arts<\/a>. The winning authors come from a wide variety of colleges and universities in the United States.
In an effort to model the acceptance rates of academic peer-reviewed journals, the Festival targets an acceptance rate of 20%.
