The competition welcomes entries in any language as long as English subtitles or transcripts (for audio projects) are included.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Entries must be created as part of a graduate student project, either curricular or co-curricular in nature.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>You are eligible to enter the Graduate Competition if\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You are a current BEA Graduate Student Member<\/p>\n<p>You were a student seeking a graduate degree from a university or college during the applicable completion window (see competition rules for details) and the project was initiated and completed during this time frame.<\/p>\n<p>Entries completed while seeking a graduate degree by then part-time or full-time faculty members are not eligible to enter the Graduate Competition;&nbsp;<strong>please submit your entry to the proper BEA Festival Faculty competition.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>COMPLETION WINDOW:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The graduate completion window is one year only between December 15, 2024 to December 15, 2025.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>ENTRANT STATUS:<\/strong><br>The Graduate Competition is open to graduate students who completed their entry while enrolled in a graduate program at a college or university.<\/p>\n<p>Predominant Authorship and Originality: The Festival of Media Arts invites submissions of original creative works in which the entrant&nbsp;maintained predominant authorship over the project\u2019s content and aesthetics (producing, directing, writing, editing, etc.). Entries produced in collaboration with a faculty member should be entered in the appropriate Festival Faculty competition.<\/p>\n<p><strong>LEGAL PERMISSIONS:&nbsp;<\/strong><br>The entrant agrees that all licenses, copyrights, and permissions have been cleared to ensure that the submission can legally and ethically be presented at the BEA Festival of Media Arts and online at the BEA website.
