A glimpse to the Future

New Dates, New Location, New Details

Like most conventions in their early planning phase, BEA2011 is currently a work in progress. Since our show is changing venues and overlapping with the NABshow, there is a lot of fine-tuning and programming to work out.  But, we can share a few things and promise to produce the most informative and value-added BEA convention yet.

General Session Timing - BEA general sessions will start the morning of Sunday, April 10th and will continue through early afternoon on Wednesday, April 13th.

Exhibit Hall - The BEA2011 Exhibit Hall will take place on Monday, April 11th & Tuesday, April 12th at the Las Vegas Hilton.  We're planning a special technology demo stage to introduce new products launched at the NABshow.

Special Workshops - We are in the process of planning some additional workshops on the afternoon of Saturday, April 9th, that will focus on specific topics. Some workshops may include additional registration fees.

BEA Festival of Media Arts - The Festival will take place on the evening of Monday, April 11th.  We are honored that it will once again be sponsored by The Charles and Lucille King Family Foundation and AVID.

Research Symposium - Now in its 4th year, this year's Research Symposium Chair Ron Tamborini, Michigan State University, will address Media and Morality: Investigating the Connections on Sunday, April 10th.

Special Events - Stay tuned for information on special BEA2011 events.  We're planning to have festive evening receptions and guest speakers as we have in the past (like the editors of LOST or the Curious Case of Benjamin Button) but we have details and dates finalize.

Don't forget....your BEA2011 registration not only gives you access to all interest division meetings and paper competition sessions, poster sessions, Festival of Media Arts competitions and countless networking opportunities, but includes registration for the NABshow's Conference Flex Pass and which gives you access to all sessions in those related conferences.
