Pacific Grove, CA - October 14, 2004 - Jefferson-Pilot's Clarke Brown, the 2004 recipient of the NAB National Radio Award, will be the "dis" honored guest at the 19th Annual Bayliss Radio Roast to be held March 16, 2005, at the Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City. Mark your calendar now to attend one of the radio industry's most prestigious events --- bankers, brokers, radio group heads and rep firms together on one night for fun and fundraising to benefit the Bayliss Radio Scholarship program!

Clarke Brown is president of Jefferson-Pilot Communication's Radio Division, in which capacity he oversees stations in Miami, Charlotte, San Diego, Denver, and Atlanta. Mr. Brown has been with Jefferson-Pilot for 37 years, starting at WQZI AM/FM Atlanta as an account executive in 1967. In 1983, Brown was named Assistant Vice President of the station. In 1985, he became General Manager of KSON AM/FM, a new Jefferson-Pilot station in San Diego. That station quickly became profitable, and Mr. Brown was put in charge of the company's Denver stations. In 1990, Brown returned to Atlanta to revive WQZI AM/FM. He was named to his current position in 1991.

A graduate of the University of Missouri and Atlanta Law School, Mr. Brown serves on the Radio Advisory Board of the Associated Press, the board of the National Academy of Arts and Sciences, and the Radio Advertising Bureau. Currently the chairman of the Radio Operators Caucus, he has also served as president of the Atlanta Broadcasters Advertisers Club and as chairman of the 2002 NAB Radio Show Steering Committee.
